With all that beauty, why miss it?

On Sunday was the annual Emmy awards ceremony (the Oscar of television). It is not new that usually awards ceremonies are boring, and that the interesting thing about it happens on the red carpet just before it begins. So, I must say I agree and disagree. Don't be mistaken, I do think that the best part is the red carpet (the Emmy's and the Oscar's are the best), but besides that I do have an interest in the winners (not the ceremony, only the bottom line). This is the place to admit I have another obsession other than the magazine obsession I talked about here, and it is TV series. I love watching good drama and action and characters' evolution and development and so much more TV can offer us, so I think this love comes even before the magazines.

But this post is about the red carpet. For me, these events are a great celebration of fashion. But, there is one problem about it - the press coverage of the star's clothes is usually by picking the best and the worst dressers, and as you know, when you have this kind of coverage you go straight to the worst, that's human nature. My point is that because of this nature of us and because of the coverage that seeks for rating and gives us what we want (we cannot blame them) - we miss the best part. We miss the celebration of fashion, we miss the strong women whom give the dresses a whole other personality and sophistication and we just miss all the beauty. So I decided to give you just the beauty. These are my favorite five from the Emmy's red carpet. Hope you will enjoy just as I did.

אבל הפוסט הזה הוא בכלל על השטיח האדום. מבחינתי, האירועים האלה הם חגיגה גדולה ומדהימה, איך לא, של אופנה כמובן. אבל, יש בעיה אחת – הסיקור התקשורתי של הבגדים (טוב נו, השמלות) של הכוכבים (אוקיי, הכוכבות) הוא בדרך כלל תוך חלוקה דיכוטומית בין הטובים ביותר לבין האסונות האופנתיים, וכמו שאתם יודעים, בשעה שזה מה שמציעים לנו אנחנו פונים בסקרנות היישר אל הנפילות האופנתיות, זהו טבע האדם מסתבר. מה שאני מנסה להגיד הוא שבגלל הטבע הזה שלנו אנחנו פשוט מפספסים את החלק הטוב ביותר. אנחנו מפספסים את החגיגה של האופנה המשובחת, אנחנו מפספסים את הנשים הכל כך חזקות ומוכשרות האלו שצועדות להן על השטיח האדום ומעניקות לשמלה אחת תחכום ותוכן אחר לחלוטין, אנחנו פשוט מפספסים את כל היופי. לכן, החלטתי לתת לכם רק את היופי. אלו הן חמש הגדולות מהשטיח האדום בטקס האמי האחרון: חמש הנשים המדהימות שניצחו על חמש שמלות מופלאות. מקווה שתהנו כמו שאני נהניתי.
