The first time I’ve noticed pajamas can be
beautiful was when I was about 11 years old while watching the film Sliding
Doors. I guess my fashion sense started developing at that time... Years later
I was still looking (and finally found) for a grey cotton robe, similar to the
one Gwyneth Paltrow wore in that film (see pics above).
In the past year, old-fashion pajamas became
a little trend and I love it. I love the whole pajamas sets and I love those
shirts that look a bit like a pajama to wear during the day, outside the house,
although I didn’t find yet the perfect one for me (still looking).
I decided to make a post on pajamas first
because of the holiday season and second because I just came back very tired
from a short first home visit as a “tourist” (how weird is that?!). I really
don’t know why, but I remember that as a child Hanukkah was a pajama holiday – we
got a new one each year and now while living in the US, I noticed that the
Christmas shopping state of mind is also around pajamas.
As I mentioned before, I do love the
old-fashion pajama suits, but as for me I guess I prefer just to look at them
and not actually wear them. When bed-time comes I just prefer to wear my simple
white “grandfather” tanks (this is how we call it in Israel) paired with
panties – these are my bed uniforms for the past 10 years – Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall.
And while doing that I wonder – Will I
eventually wear a real pajama suit to bed or I’ll just keep dreaming on it…?
