It's been almost a month
since the annual Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The
theme of the event was PUNK since the new exhibition of the Costume Institute
at the Met was named PUNK: CHAOS TO COUTURE. Punk, as a music movement of
the 70's-80's wasn't at all about fashion, but from then until today it was
definitely an inspiration for the fashion world. I didn't see the exhibition,
but from pictures I saw and reviews I read, I think the goal of it was to show
the impact of this movement on the luxury fashion world.

The exhibition drew a big
conversation about punk and fashion, especially in the fashion magazines, but
the punk editorials and the collections inspired by Punk were always there (the
biggest example is Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld and especially the
combination between his designs and the amazing model Stella Tennanat, my Punk icon).

So although I didn't
visit the exhibition, I decided to make a little research and find these pics
and collections of this Punk inspiration, even the slightest ones, that I like
the most. Enjoy.

And another thing, I
decided this post will be the launch of a new thing that will appear in every
post. As mentioned in other posts (here and here), you may know that I love the
model Daria Werbowy. I think she is “the one” of our time, in top-models’
terminology. As a result, I decided that at the end of every new post I will
add a picture(/s) of her that I like and that relates to the subject I was
talking about (and maybe sometimes it won't be related at all :). Hope you'll
like it.
